Call for Papers

Poster

Due to the high amount of high quality papers and limited number of slots for oral presentations, it was decided to accept some papers as posters only. Those papers are still published in the conference proceedings as full papers, but will be presented only during the poster sessions.

VMV is Germany’s premier scientific venue for research in Visual Computing. Although different in terminology and formalism, Vision, Modeling, and Visualization are symbiotic disciplines that profit from synergies between jointly encountered problems and developed technologies. VMV offers researchers the opportunity to discuss a wide range of different topics within an open, international, and interdisciplinary environment.

Paper submissions are solicited from any area of computer graphics, computer vision, visualization and related fields. As in previous years, the proceedings will be published in cooperation with Eurographics and archived in the EG Digital Library.

Authors are encouraged to submit their original research results, practice and experience reports, or novel applications. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:

Modelling
• 3D Printing
• Animation, Simulation, and GPGPU
• Geometric Modeling

Rendering
• Color, Illumination, and Reflectance Modeling
• Material Appearance
• Realistic and Non-Photorealistic Rendering
• Offline and Real-time Rendering

Visualization and Interactive Interfaces

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PAPER:
Contributors are invited to submit papers of up to 8 pages length in the EG publication style. Longer papers are expected to make additional contributions. The review process will be double-blind. Accepted papers have to be presented at the symposium. Publication style file and further details can be found on the conference website: http://vmv2023.cg.cs.tu-bs.de/submission-instructions/

NEW: SPECIAL SESSION “LEGENDARY VMV PAPERS”
At VMV 2023, a special session is planned to honor previous VMV papers that have passed the test of time. If you are (co-)author of a paper presented at a previous VMV symposium that you think has made an impact on our community, please nominate it by writing to vmv2023@cg.cs.tu-bs.de, sending in a link to the paper and a brief statement in which way(s) your paper has impacted our community.
A jury will select the most impressive VMV papers from all nominations. Nominators of selected papers will be invited to present their original papers again and to show how it has influenced subsequent research in our field.
